Dr. Brian Norman is a California Native that grew up in Orange County California. He attended UCLA for two years before transferring to Loyola Marymount where he completed and earned his B.S. in Biology. In 1999, Dr. Norman earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.M.V.) from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. Following veterinary school, He completed a 1 year rotating medicine and surgical internship and a 2 year Internal Medicine residency under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Ettinger at the California Animal Hospital. He became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2005. He was a partner and worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist at The California Animal Hospital in West Los Angeles until 2012. Most recently, he worked at a specialty hospital in the San Fernando Valley for the past 5 years. He has a wife, 3 kids and 2 black labs named Jack and Jett.
Dog and Cat Internal Medicine is a mobile veterinary service that provides Specialized Veterinary Internal Medicine services at your home or regular veterinarians office. Dr. Norman will perform a comprehensive physical exam and review all of your pets past medical history. Dr. Norman has been a board certified veterinary specialist in Internal Medicine since 2005. He started Dog and Cat Internal Medicine to provide Specialty Veterinary Internal Medicine consultations, diagnostics and development of treatment plans in the comfort of your home or office of your general practitioner.
Dr. Norman will perform a comprehensive physical exam and thorough review of your pets previous diagnostics to obtain a definitive diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan with you and your regular veterinarian.
Dr. Norman has been performing abdominal ultrasound for almost 20 years. He has developed extensive experience, knowledge and skills. He will use this experience and a new state of the art ultrasound machine to perform a complete evaluation of your pets abdominal cavity.
Dr. Norman has extensive training in endoscopy. Using a state of the art Karl Storz flexible videoscope and/or rigid scope, He can perform the procedures below to non-invasively evaluate and obtain tissue samples for a definitive diagnosis.

Colonoscopy - Colon
Rhinoscopy - Nasal Cavity
Cystoscopy - Urethra and bladder
Bronchoscopy- Lungs
Dr. Norman may also recommend additional diagnostics tests to help obtain a definitive diagnosis. In many cases these tests can be perfomed in the convenience of your home; However, some may require meeting at your regular veterinarians office.
Dr. Norman will evaluate your pet, interpret previous tests and perform additional tests to help develop a treatment plan with you and your regular veterinarian.
